This site is about swords, fencing, swordsmanship, HEMA and related topics.
I have been fascinated by swords and fencing for as long as I can remember. I’ve trained various sports throughout the years, but since I found out about historical fencing and HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) I was hooked. I looked up a local HEMA club and started training historical fencing. And from there digging into theory, history and facts about swords, fencing and related stuff.
There are several sites out there covering these topics in various ways, but when I started interest me more and looking for info in more depth, I really did not find any site that gave me a good introduction and info while also being able to provide more details. So, while I now learn and discover more I will continue building this site, with the goal of creating a useful site for others like myself and people who have or find interest in these things.

The info and tips on this site comes from a whole lot of various sources, different websites, where of course Wikipedia is one, books, documentaries, video clips, different forums and facebook groups as well as from own knowledge and experiences and discussions with people.
If you see any info that is questionable, lacking important nuances or completely wrong, please let me know together with reliable references and I can look into if the info here should be adjusted.
